Could you begin by introducing yourself, telling us where you are based and what you do?
My name is Natàlia, and I’m from Barcelona, Spain. I’m a PhD research scientist in the cardiovascular field, spending my days analysing data, writing scientific manuscripts and running experiments. Outside the lab, I enjoy expressing myself through singing and music, photography, and, more recently, ceramics. I’m also passionate about padel, travelling, and exploring new restaurants, always eager to learn from different cultures. I’m naturally energetic and curious, so I especially value activities that allow me to slow down and focus, moments where my mind can rest and I can fully immerse myself. These hobbies not only help me relax but also give me a sense of freedom and balance in my everyday life.
Travel clearly plays an important role in your life. Which countries or cities have left a strong impression on you?
My passion for travelling comes from my natural curiosity and the feeling that the world is vast and full of new experiences to discover: amazing landscapes, diverse cultures, inspiring people, and delicious food. I can’t imagine a life without exploring as much as I can. Some of the countries I’ve visited include Iceland, France, Japan, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and of course, Spain, as well as cities like London, Amsterdam, Prague, and Lisbon, among many others.
